FAQ

How do you photograph weddings / shoots?

I love what I do, and I want to make sure that you are comfortable, at ease, and always getting your good side in the process. It is very important to me to have everyone feeling comfortable during a photo shoot, so open and relaxed conversation and vibes are just as important as poses and lighting. That being said I always come prepared with 2 professional-grade Canon cameras, a kit of on camera and off-camera lights, and at least 5 lenses for every focal length!

Do I need an engagement shoot too?

Every single wedding package that I offer comes with an engagement shoot included. An engagement shoot is a great way to get used to being in front of the lens, getting some poses in your arsenal, and being comfortable and getting to know each each other throughout the process. On top of that, you will get some great pictures for invitations and social media! If for whatever reason you don't need this, we can certainly chat.

How do you know if we are a good match?

It is just as important to me that you find a fitting photographer for your big day! After all, we will be spending most of the day together in some capacity. I require all wedding clients to either phone call, video call, or meet in person as part of the consultation process before moving forward with a contract. That way we can find out not only if we are a good fit when it comes to your vision, but also that we can talk casually, clearly and comfortably! I do not require this for other shoots, but it is always good to talk beforehand and I am more than happy to do so. 😊

Where are you based and do you travel?

I am based in the historical and scenic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This puts me just a few hours from Harrisburg, Baltimore, Philly, DC, the greater Virginia area, and much more. For any photo shoot within roughly an hour of Gettysburg I got you covered for travel, but if I am the right fit for you travel accommodations can be factored in and I will make the trip!

How long until we get our photos?

One month. The quick and simple answer is, has been, and always will be 1 month, if not sooner. I believe that you have waited long enough for your big day, so lets cut that wait time for the pictures down as much as we can. If you need your album sooner, please reach out and I'll see what I can do!

Where are my pictures and what can I do with them?

First and foremost, these are YOUR photos to do what YOU want with them! Your photos will be stored on their own specialized album, hosted on my personal website for at least a year. All photos are high-resolution JPEG images, free to download, share, and post at your leisure!

Can I see full albums from other shoots?

Absolutely! Check out full albums from many happy couples, families, and individuals on the Portfolio page. These albums are organized sequentially from beginning of the day to the end, to relive those moments you may or may not have been there for. If you personally want your album privatized for any reason don't hesitate to ask!

What do you shoot with / What is in your kit?

Ah yes, the technical nerdy stuff. I could talk about this all day lol. My current kit consists of 2 Canon Mirrorless R6 Mark II cameras. I have 4 Canon L-series lenses - the 85mm f/1.2 II, 24-70 f/2.8 II USM, 16-35 f/2.8 III USM, and the 70-200 f/2.8 II USM. I also use a Sigma Art 35mm 1.4 lens. I use 4 Canon 600EX Speedlites for on and off camera flash especially useful during the reception. Plenty of light stands, batteries, and more little accessories get me through the day too!

Can we have the RAW files or get re-edits?

I have had situations where a dress color or something of importance may be off, or something like a stain has been overlooked. These are situations where I am more than happy to make small changes for you. RAW files are not something that I provide to my clients, as they are not a representation of my work or my creativity and are not considered to be finished or at all edited!
